Hi everyone,
Where has the year gone too. It doesn’t seem two minutes since last Christmas and I’m already attending my first Christmas dinner of the year with the BSIA (British Security Industry Association) meeting on the 1st of December followed by the member’s dinner in the evening. It’s that time of year when we catch up with industry friends and discuss where we’ve been this year what we’ve achieved and discuss the up and coming new year!
I’m sure the European directive on data security will be top of the agenda and we will all be actively promoting where we all sit on compliance – although here at Shredall SDS Group we are the most compliant in the industry and our clients can rest assured that we as their chosen supplier comply in every way possible.
We have made strong changes within our management team in recent months partly on recommendations of the Investment in People audit, taken out a few months ago. Our Shredall management is now split across a bigger, wider and younger team (the Dream team). I thank all the people who have put themselves forward for new positions and I’m delighted with the changes that have been made so far. First impressions give me assurances that we are heading in the right direction whilst spreading the load, this is resulting in faster customer queries being answered and in many cases reducing them. It is also improving our systems of recording and helping automate our invoicing procedures.
We are currently investigating a change in our CRM systems which will again result in a proactive approach next year. This again has come off the back of reviews with our current software suppliers. Our sales are up on the same period last year across the business and we finish 2016 in a good but not complacent place. 2016 has seen a lot of political positions change that will impact I’m sure next year, but once the direction is known and the people have their say hopefully we will enter a period of stability.
Wishing everyone, our customers, staff and their families a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I’m sure that with all of your support, after the end of year break we will all come back and achieve again next year.
