24 Years in Business
This year Shredall SDS Group celebrate our 24th anniversary in business.
The business was founded in 1997 by our chairman Lloyd Williams where at the time we were the only second mobile shredding company in Europe. Twenty four years later – Lloyd’s children, Lucy Shipley and Nik Williams now run the business and it has grown to Shredall SDS Group. With customers such as Amazon, Apple and Sky under our belt we now offer much more than just shredding with the addition of Product and Textile Destruction, Document Storage, Indexing, Document Scanning and Recycling.
Lloyd Williams quotes “This year we have seen challenges like no other year on record. We have focused our thoughts with our loyal customers, new clients, our amazing staff and all their extended families in what has been a somewhat turbulent year for all of us! Our clients have had major purges, scanned and stored there business in different and varied ways. They have tidied up back offices and outsourced storage and shredding enabling them to catalogue there business affairs and give support to their home workers by operating ‘scan on demand’ services.”
Lloyd continues “Shredall SDS Group have risen to every challenge in front of us whether by operating keyworker collections with a skeletal staff at the heart of the pandemic or by collecting in different ways either from homeworkers or safe environments at our customers offices or depots. We have always believed at the Shredall SDS Group we are an extension of all and every customer. When we woke up on our last anniversary we cannot have comprehended what was going to happen to the working and personal lives this last year! “
Group Managing Director, Nik Williams comments “2021 holds lots of exciting new plans for the Group, we have just launched the arrival of our new Roll on roll off skips and compactor units. Secure locked enclosed skips are ideal for big industrial projects and for commercial sites that produce large quantities of paper waste and is a great add on service for Shredall.”
He continues “We are committed to providing environmentally friendly, reliable, and affordable waste management solutions able to meet all types of business waste needs. RORO skip hire is an excellent way of doing this, because of the larger sizes fewer collections are required, which makes it great for cost-saving and reducing your carbon footprint.”
Nik’s sister, Lucy Shipley is Director of SDS the Document Storage and Scanning arm of the business, Lucy comments “Celebrating 24 years in business is fantastic, especially during a global pandemic. Next month SDS will begin the redevelopment of one warehouse at our Nottingham depot. Due to recent growth, we need to expand. Our redevelopment plan will allow us to increase overall storage capacity from 220,000 boxes to 350,000 boxes.”
Lucy continues “In spring, we are also launching our sister company Loft Self Storage, which is container storage for businesses and households. We can collect, load, store and deliver – we are very excited about this new additional service for Shredall SDS Group.”
We would like to thank our team for their hard work and loyalty, especially over the last year where business has not been usual. We are celebrating some big anniversaries this year for some of our team members. Congratulations to the following:

- Denim our SDS Operations Manager working in within SDS team for 10 years.
- Amy our Financial Controller for over 10 years at Shredall SDS Group.
- Marc one of our Shredall Labourer’s whose worked at our Scotland depot for over 12 years.
