The team at Shredall SDS Group are proudly celebrating 25 years in business this month. Founded in 1997 by Lloyd Williams, group chairman, the company has since gone from strength to strength.
We’ve expanded our services from document shredding to document storage, data destruction, document scanning, document indexing, recycling and more recently launched our sister company, Loft Self Storage. Due to the immediate popularity and success of our new self storage offering, we have just invested in an additional 20 storage containers.
Based at Bestwood Village Business Park, Loft Self Storage offers self-storage containers to both domestic and business customers. It also provides a mobile self storage service, picking up items from your home or office, transporting them for storage, and returning them when required.
This 25th anniversary also comes at a time of significant growth, with the business reporting a 25% increase in turnover compared to the previous year. The team at the Nottingham headquarters were treated to an afternoon of drinks and food to celebrate the Group’s recent success, and £2,500 has been set aside to donate to a charity chosen by our team.

In recent years, we have opened a depot in Lanarkshire, Scotland, expanded the Nottingham depot and opened offices in Edinburgh, London and Birmingham. Responding to increased customer demand, the company has invested heavily in new technology this month, including an industrial-sized Vecoplan shredding machine that has tripled our previous output.
The Group has just completed a full re-racking of archives to hold over 7 million additional documents and built two new high-security storage vaults with constant temperature and humidity controls, cementing our position as a leading information management provider.
In addition to technological development, we’ve also been focusing on maintaining our consistently high standards of customer service in the run-up to the 25th anniversary. We are thrilled to announce that we have just received the Feefo Platinum Trusted Service Award 2022, having reached Feefo’s Gold Standard for three consecutive years (with an average rating of over 4.5 out of 5 from our customers).
This recognition gives further reassurance to our customers that they can rely on us to look after their confidential documents and know that we go beyond the norm in terms of customer experience.
