Shredall SDS Group celebrates its 28th business anniversary this month. Over the past year, the Group continued its expansion and growth curves across multiple disciplines, including document management, recycling and self-storage facilities. In 2024, we achieved next-level compliance, fortified our environmental commitments and fulfilled our corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals.
A year of setting a new standard for compliance
At Shredall SDS Group, we place the highest premium on standard and regulatory compliance, helping to drive the reputation and trust with our customers. It also forms the cornerstone of our competitive edge in the document management industry.
The BS EN 15713:2023 introduced notable updates to the destruction of confidential and sensitive information. Shredall SDS Group’s compliance with this standard assures customers that we implement the best industry practices to destroy secure data. An independent audit verified the company’s full compliance with the latest requirements. This means that our customers have the reassurance that their data is in safe hands.
This year, we’ve also continued improving our high standards for environmental health and the future of the planet. Our NQA-certified ISO accreditation standards testify to this undertaking. This compliance initiative includes Quality Management (ISO 9001) and Environment Management (ISO 14001).
Building on our carbon-neutral pledge
Shredall SDS Group had a successful year as an environmentally friendly business too. We are proudly carbon-neutral and the NQA verified our PAS 2060:2014 compliant status. This means that we achieved all the criteria to measure, reduce and negate greenhouse gas emissions.
As part of World Environment Day, a United Nations Environment Programme, we planted 500 extra trees for land restoration. We also participate in Plant for Planet, which aims to tackle deforestation by planting a tree in the name of every new customer.
A year of supporting local and global initiatives
At Shredall SDS Group, we take our CSR seriously. Over the past year, we volunteered at Emmanuel House and bought and delivered Christmas presents for the elderly (and often lonely) residents at Hawthorne Nursing Home.
We’ve continued to fundraise for and support the Nottingham City Hospitals this year, with our own chairman Lloyd dressing up as Santa for the day to bring excitement to children who are spending their Christmas there. We also took part in the Nottingham Christmas Tree Recycling scheme again this year, helping to raise money for the local charity, whilst continuing to promote responsible recycling.
The Group donated to ShelterBox, which helps those struck by wars and natural disasters, and Rainbows Hospice, a haven for children and young people with terminal conditions. We embrace inclusion and diversity, and, as such, rolled out an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion training module and donated to core LGBTQ+ organisations in the community.
Continued growth and customer service excellence in 2025
2025 marked another year of significant growth and customer-focused enhancements. Our commitment to customer service excellence was once again recognised with our fourth consecutive Feefo award, a testament to our team's dedication to our customers.
We welcomed 1,391 new clients to our growing family, contributing to a remarkable 29.4% surge in sales across our shredding, storage, and scanning services. This success is reflected in the impressive volume of work completed, with 17,200 tonnes of paper shredded and an astounding 10.555 million documents digitised over the past 365 days, further solidifying our position as a leader in secure information management.
