The PAS 2060 certification verifies an organisation’s status as carbon neutral, recognising efforts towards minimising emissions and protecting the environment. Having already obtained ISO 14001 Environmental Management, Shredall SDS Group has now also been accredited with PAS 2060 by the independent global certification body, NQA.
This accreditation represents the culmination of our long-established plans to reduce carbon emissions. In order to be recognised independently as a carbon neutral company, we had to demonstrate our commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions across four key stages – measurement, reduction, offsetting and documentation.
All of the offsets that helped us achieve carbon neutrality were from pre-validated schemes. We have also made substantial changes to reduce the amount of carbon that we emit: our company is powered by 100% renewable energy sources and our newly refurbished secure document storage depot uses LED lighting.
