Shredall SDS Group is pleased to announce that the team is supporting Nottingham Hospitals Charity this Christmas, raising money for the cause and spreading some festive cheer in our local area.
About Nottingham Hospitals Charity
The Nottingham Hospitals Charity supports four of Nottingham’s NHS hospitals, including Queen’s Medical Centre, City Hospital, Ropewalk House and the Nottingham Children’s Hospital. Last year they raised over £4 million to help fund these hospitals with life-saving specialist equipment, crucial medical research, staff development and enhancements to the facilities.
With support from individuals and local businesses alike, Nottingham Hospitals Charity can have an incredible impact on the patient care in our local hospitals, providing crucial additional resources for stroke patients, breast cancer care, children’s cancer wards and many more.
How we’re supporting NHC this festive season
As a Nottingham based organisation, being able to support local charities such as this is incredibly important to us. Helping all the different hospital departments close to us is a great cause, and we’re extremely happy to donate and support in a few different ways.
This festive season our founder and chairman Lloyd Williams became Santa for the morning! He visited the children’s ward at QMC (Queen’s Medical Centre), handing out sweets and chocolate to the children, spreading some festive cheer to poorly children and helping them to celebrate this holiday season.
Here’s what Charlotte Williams, Marketing & PR manager, had to say about the visit:
“Partnering with Nottingham Hospitals Charity is our way of saying thank you for the amazing work they do! In an ideal world charities wouldn’t need to exist but they do. Every donation received, big or small, adds up, and helps charities get to work and make a positive difference.
Seeing the smile on the children's faces when they saw Santa this week was incredible and helped spread some Christmas cheer. We look forward to continuing to work with NHC in 2023 and help support their fundraising appeals.”
We’re also excited to be presenting a cheque for £1,000 for the charity to put towards the children’s neonatal ward. This ward is a specialist regional centre for East Midlands children, treating over 1,500 babies every year, so we’re delighted to be able to contribute to this cause and make a difference for children and their families.
And finally, we’re partnering with Nottingham Hospitals Charity to collect Christmas trees in the New Year. Their Christmas tree recycling scheme allows households across Nottingham to sign up to have their old trees collected, whilst also donating towards the cause. Shredall SDS Group will be volunteering for the day in 2023, contributing our document storage vehicles to fetch trees across our local area.
