Shredall SDS Group are continuing support for local charities this Christmas! We’re pleased to announce that our team is working with local charities such as Nottingham Hospitals Charity, Glasgow’s Children’s Hospitals and A Christmas Wish to raise money and spread some festive cheer.
Our founder, Lloyd Williams, is Santa at the Queens Medical Centre!
As a Nottingham-based business, being able to support local charities is incredibly important to us. This year, our managing chairman, Lloyd, became Santa for the day, having his own grotto in the Nottingham Hospital’s Charity main reception hub and visiting the youngest patients and their families throughout the hospital at the Queen’s Medical Centre. Other members of our team, including Marketing Manager Charlotte Williams, helped too by joining Lloyd on the wards, donating and handing out goodies to the children.
This year, a magical grotto has been created especially at the hospital to bring the excitement of Christmas to the children who are spending their festive season there. The grotto, complete with snow, presents and festive decorations, gave the children the opportunity to meet Santa Claus and get into the festive spirit.
This was all in aid of Nottingham Hospitals Charity and the Big Appeal Launch. Their work has an incredible impact on the patient care in Nottingham’s hospitals, each year helping to transform the services and facilities to better support all the patients. We were pleased to be able to come together with Nottingham Rugby to help support this great cause for another year.
And that’s not all! In aid of Nottingham Hospitals Charity, we are a Christmas Tree Recycling Scheme partner. As part of our recycling services, we will be collecting real Christmas trees for recycling for a suggested donation. Last year, the scheme raised over £13,595 for Nottingham Hospitals Charity and we can’t wait to get involved again this year.
How you can get involved this Christmas
All of our support matters! Hospitals don’t close at Christmas time, and it’s important to show we care for patients who are being treated in hospital, as well as the staff that work tirelessly to look after them. You can also show support this Christmas by making a donation or taking part in one of the many different fundraising events.
Our commitment to Glasgow’s Children’s Hospitals
This year, Shredall SDS Group Scotland are showing their commitment this Christmas by supporting Glasgow’s Children’s Hospitals. To show their support, they have recently donated to Ava’s appeal.
Ava spent several weeks in @rhcglasgow with a complex brain infection, undergoing multiple surgeries and receiving care from teams across the hospital. Ava has designed a charity bauble for 2024, Rock 'n' Roll Santa, where her bubbly personality shines through!
Shredall SDS Group’s Scotland depot wanted to support a local charity and Ava’s story.

Getting involved this Christmas time
There are so many ways you can help local charities and raise money for those in need this Christmas. At Shredall SDS Group, we’re always looking out for ways to help the local community, fundraise and donate, as a part of our corporate social responsibility. Just as we supported NHC last year, we’re getting involved this year and hope to spread even more joy to young people across Nottinghamshire.
